Scary Stories for Dark and Stromy Nights

Heres some scary tales I found while patrolling through /x/
Great for a dark night when the moon is high ,the lights are off, and no one is home.....except for you, that is.

Ive been posting some creepy stuff, but this is one I have to warn you about.
Do not read this if youre squeamish, or obsessed with finding answers.

There is no simple answer, or really even an answer at all.

Many legends speak of ghosts, wraiths, nightmares that might just be shadows in the closet. You remember back when your nice daddy would open the closet door or maybe look under your bed and say, "See? No monsters in there," then tuck you in?

What did you fear?

Your father was right, there are no monsters, at least not in there. Those legends of ghosts are the least of your worries. The true insanity, the true darkness and sadism, come from that man--that father is the enemy. Demons and zombies don't feel malice, they don't want revenge, but guess what? People do. People will rip the skin from your bones. People don't stop when you're about to bleed out, people would rather keep you alive to enjoy the foul ritual again. People won't stab your eyes for the pain, they'll stab one so you can watch as they play their games.

Do you fear the monster?

Every house has one of these. That one corner that no-one looks at. It might be in that locked attic, it might be under boxes of junk in that storage room, it might be under your bed. It will be shadowed, even in full daylight. If you were to find this corner, you wouldn't want to remember it. If you look deep within this corner, you might see behind the shadows. You might see the dark, waiting for someone... Then you'll sit, waiting for someone to try to step into your corner of darkness.

In today's world, it takes time to find a truly silent place. Nature recorders, capturing bird calls to study them, claim that even in a forest miles from a city, it takes at least six hours for get even twenty usable minutes of only nature. In urban environments, it can take months. However, try to find yourself a place. Maybe wait at a quiet intersection until all the cars pass and you are the only pedestrian. Then listen and scream as loud as you can. When you stop, then mabe, for a second, you'll catch it: the whispers within the silence. If you learn to listen for it, you can find it in increasingly noisier environments. These might tell you that a yellow ford has passed and then, a few seconds later, the ford will pass you by. It may tell you to duck and avoid the ball coming at you, it may tell you to push that woman out of the street as the bus smashes by. However, this gift may not be all it seems. After all, whispers come from a voice, and no-one likes an eavesdropper.
